Diane Abbott MP, Labour’s Shadow Home Secretary, commenting on
new MOJ figures showing the criminal justice system in England and
Wales dealt with 21,484 knife and offensive weapons offences last
year which is the highest number since 2009, said: “Surely the
Tories don't need any further evidence that not enough is being
