nation, have a right to know who owns our land. Too much of this is

owners hiding their identity behind shell companies, sometimes
in overseas territories. One has to ask why, and
whether that can be in the public interest. I say that it is in the
public interest that information about who owns Scotland is
entirely transparent. The only exceptions should be in cases where
secrecy is justified to protect someone from harm, such as cases
involving someone in an abusive relationship. There should be no
more hiding of ownership as a matter of preference of owners who
are not in such circumstances...
