Justice Committee: Bailiffs: Enforcement of debt

The Justice Committee is holding its second evidence session on Bailiffs: enforcement of debt on Tuesday 26 February in the Grimond Room, Portcullis House.

This second oral evidence session has been designed to enable the Committee to understand more about how the enforcement agency industry currently works on the ground. This provides the opportunity to probe further: 

• how complaints are currently considered
• how debtor vulnerability is assessed and dealt with
• what impact local authorities have on the enforcement process
• views on the fee regime, regulation and a new complaints system.
