vehicles account for less than 1 per cent of the 2.9 million
cars that are on the roads in Scotland. I acknowledge that the SNP
Government’s plans to phase out the purchase of new petrol and
diesel vehicles by 2032 is ahead of the UK Government’s target, but
a significant amount of progress is still to be made. Far more
needs to be done, and a clear road map needs to be drawn up to hit
