The purpose of the Animal Welfare (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations
2018 is to ensure that three pieces of direct EU legislation will
be fully operable when the UK leaves the EU. The instrument
concerns animal welfare which as a devolved matter and is
implemented and enforced by EU-derived domestic legislation in each
