Intellectual property rights post-Brexit: Lords to take evidence

The House of Lords EU Justice Sub-Committee will take evidence from legal professionals on Tuesday 23 October regarding intellectual property rights after Brexit. 

Speaking to the Committee at 10.45am will be: 

• Daniel Alexander QC, 8 New Square Chambers
• Charlotte May QC, 8 New Square Chambers
• Trevor Cook, Wilmer Hale

Questions are likely to include:

• Does Brexit pose any dangers to the protection of intellectual property rights in the UK?
• Are there any positive aspects of Brexit for the protection of intellectual property rights in the UK?
• What is your view of the Government’s plans for the protection of intellectual property rights in the event of a ‘no-deal’ scenario?
• Ideally, what Brexit deal would you like to see the Government achieve regarding intellectual property rights?

The session will take place from 10.45am on Tuesday 23 October in Committee Room 3 of the House of Lords.
