The Home Affairs Committee has urged the Government to widen its forthcoming bill to be a Violence against Women and Girls and Domestic Abuse Bill. In a report published today, the committee identifies persistent problems with lack of refuge and advice support for victims, weaknesses in the police and court response, and inadequate action to prevent abuse of all kinds.
