West Lancashire MP is supporting the Holocaust
Educational Trust’s ‘Lessons from Auschwitz Project’ by encouraging
West Lancashire schools to promote the opportunity to its
students.
The Project is a carefully designed educational programme for
students to attend in order to learn about pre-war experiences,
life in the holocaust first-hand from a holocaust survivor, and the
opportunity to visit Auschwitz.
The Lessons from Auschwitz Project will start on Monday
29th October with a seminar at which they will meet
a holocaust survivor and witness his experiences. This will be
followed by a visit to the Auschwitz concentration camp on
Wednesday 7th November. There will then be a
follow-up seminar on Sunday 11th November which
will allow the students to express their views and reflect on their
experience.
West Lancashire MP Rosie said:
“I actively recommend any West Lancashire students to consider this
unique opportunity to visit an eye-opening testament to our
history.
“Previously I have visited Auschwitz-Birkenau with school pupils
from West Lancashire as part of an educational visit, which has
left a deep and lasting impression on me.”
