Lib Dems: Take responsibility for Universal Credit misery

Stephen Lloyd said:

“These dreadful statistics, from such a respected independent body as the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, show what a poorly executed and botched policy Universal Credit has been.

“The Liberal Democrats have repeated our concerns time and again in Parliament. However, the Tories continue to resolutely deny the misery hundreds of thousands of the most vulnerable people in our county are experiencing.

“This cannot and must not be allowed to go on. I will be writing to Theresa May urging her to read this devastating report and take steps before it is too late. It is her Government and she must take responsibility for the pain and suffering.”
