Prime Minister welcomes passing of CLOUD Act through the US Congress

A Downing Street spokesperson said:

“The Prime Minister has welcomed the passage of the CLOUD Act through the United States Congress today.

“This landmark legislation will pave the way for a UK-US agreement to improve access to criminals’ and terrorists’ data, and the sharing of information between our two countries, to better protect our security.

“When they spoke on the 6th of February the Prime Minister and President Trump agreed that the CLOUD Act was vital for our collective security.”
