The Transport Select Committee’s report is right to recognise the need for expansion, but have issues to address - McDonald

Andy McDonald MP, Labour’s Shadow Transport Secretary, commenting on the Transport Select Committee’s report into the Aviation National Policy Statement, said:

“The Transport Select Committee’s report is right to recognise the need for expansion but it highlights the real lack of detail on issues such as project costs, noise, carbon emissions, air quality, regional connectivity, safety, the impact on the M25 motorway and surface access.  Heathrow Airport Limited and the Government must urgently address these issues.”
