Domestic Committee that considers administrative services, works and the provision of accommodation.
Barnett Formula Select Committee
Ad hoc Committee set up to examine the purpose, methodology and application of the Barnett Formula as a means of determining funding for the devolved administrations of the United Kingdom.
Communications Committee
The Committee was set-up in April 2007 and is appointed to "consider Communications".
Constitution Committee
The Committee have been appointed "to examine the constitutional implications of all public bills coming before the House; and to keep under review the operation of the constitution." The Committee has both a scrutiny function in examining public bills for matters of constitutional significance, and an investigative function in carrying out inquiries into wider constitutional issues.
The UK has no single document defining the constitution. Instead, relations between the crown, parliament, government, the courts and citizens are governed by a combination of statute, common law and unwritten convention.
Delegated Powers and Regulatory Reform
The Committee scrutinises proposals in Bill's to delegate legislative power from Parliament to another body (usually Ministers). The Committee also examines Legislative Reform Orders.
Economic Affairs Committee
The Economic Affairs Committee was set up on 7 March 2001. The Committee is charged with "considering economic affairs". Its main function is to examine matters within its remit with which Parliament ought to be concerned, and to report to the House of Lords with recommendations for government action.
Economic Affairs Finance Bill Sub-Committee
To consider aspects of the Finance Bill from the point of view of tax administration, clarification and administration.
EU Select Committee
The Committee's Terms of Reference are 'To consider European Union documents and other matters relating to the EU'.
EU - Economic and Financial Affairs, and International Trade (Sub-Committee A)
Sub-Committee A covers issues dealing with economic and financial affairs, and international trade policy in the European Union, including the Budget.
EU - Internal Market (Sub-Committee B)
Sub-Committee B's remit covers all aspects of the internal market, including energy, industry, transport, communications, research and space.
EU - Foreign Affairs, Defence and Development Policy (Sub-Committee C)
The Sub-Committee continually reviews EU policy in a number of areas, such as European defence and security, international aid and development and foreign affairs.
EU - Environment and Agriculture (Sub-Committee D)
Sub-Committee D's remit covers all aspects of EU policy in agriculture and environment.
EU - Law and Institutions (Sub-Committee E)
Sub-Committee E's remit covers all aspects of law and institutions in the EU.
EU - Home Affairs (Sub-Committee F)
Sub-Committee F's remit covers all aspects of home affairs policy in the EU: asylum and immigration; judicial cooperation in criminal matters; police and customs cooperation and terrorism and other serious crimes.
EU - Social Policy and Consumer Affairs (Sub-Committee G)
This Sub-Committee deals with all aspects of social policy and consumer affairs.
House Committee
Sets the policy framework for the administration of the House.
Hybrid Instruments
House of Lords Select Committee on Hybrid Instruments
Information Committee
One of the five domestic committees of the House of Lords, the Information Committee considers the House's information and communications services, including the Library and Parliamentary Archives, within the strategic framework and financial limits approved by the House Committee.
Liaison Committee
.to allocate resources between select committees; to review the select committee work of the House; to consider requests for ad hoc committees and report to the House with recommendations.
Merits of Statutory Instruments Committee
The Committee was appointed on 17 December 2003 with a remit to examine the merits of any Statutory Instrument which is subject to either the affirmative or negative procedure.

Science and Technology Committee
The Science and Technology Committee's broad remit is "to consider science and technology". It does this principally through inquiries undertaken.

The Committee of Selection is appointed to select and propose to the House the names of the Members of Select Committees.
